[edit] Mythology
See Virgo (constellation) MythologyIn Greek mythology ASTRAIA (or Astraea) was the virgin-goddess of justice. During the Golden Age she dwelt upon the earth with mankind, but was driven away by the lawlessness of the later Bronze Age. Zeus then placed her amongst the stars as the constellation Virgo. She was closely identified with Nike, the goddess of victory (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nike_%28mythology%29), and with Nemesis, the goddess of rightful indignation.
[edit] Compatibilities
Generally, the Virgo sign is considered to be compatible with other signs such as, Capricorn, Taurus, Cancer, Scorpio and Mutable signs such as, Gemini, Sagittarius and other Virgos.[5] These signs share an earthy demeanor and are believed to relate with each other on that merit. There are many variables that determine compatibility in astrology, such as birth dates, birth months, birth years, position of a sign within the Sun, the Moon, Stars. The signs listed as compatible with Virgo do not reflect an individual profile or individual reading as interpreted within astrology, but rather reflect a general guideline and reference to compatibility as dictated by variables such as Qualities and Elements within the Zodiac.[5] The branch of astrology dealing with interpersonal compatibilities is called Synastry.
